  • 3 teaspoons = 1 Tablespoon
  • 2 Tablespoons = 1/8 cup
  • 4 Tablespoons = 1/4 cup

  • 8 Tablespoons = 1/2 cup
  • 12 Tablespoons = 3/4 cup

  • 1 quart = 4 cups

Approximate Standard Food Measurements

1 lemon = 3 Tbsp. juice or 1 tsp. grated peel
1 orange = 1/3 cup juice or about 2 tsp. grated peel
1 chopped, medium onion = 1/2 cup
8-10 egg whites = 1 cup
12-14 egg yolk make 1 cup
1 lb. (16 oz)  shredded cheese makes 4 cups.
1/4 lb. blue cheese makes 1 cup
1 cup whipped cream makes 2 cups whipped cream
1-1 1/4 cup uncooked macaroni makes 2 1/4 cup cooked
